One of the HOTTEST new brow trends: Brow Lamination. Why? It’s a quick and painless service that gives your brows a more full and shaped appearance. It’s a great needle-free alternative to micro-blading that produces less permanent results, but a still well shaped and full brow!
What is a Brow Lamination?
Brow Lamination is a grooming technique that involves a perm to hold hairs in a shaped upright position. This process uses your natural brow hairs, helps hide small gaps, and gives an overall fuller and well shaped appearance to the eyebrow.
Am I a good candidate for a Brow Lamination?
Do you use brow gel or pencin in your eyebrows daily? Do you have stubborn brow hairs that go where they please? Do you wish your brow looked more full? Do you want a more shaped brow? If yes to any of these….. Lamination is for YOU!
We have had lots of clients say they feel “too old” or that they don’t have enough hairs left after years of tweezing for a brow lamination. As mentioned above, brow lamination uses your existing hairs to shape and give your brow a fuller look. We have found that clients who still feel like they have “thin brows” or have small patches end up with GREAT results!
Is Brow Lamination Safe?
Yes! Our professional solutions are safe to apply directly to brow hairs and skin. As with any treatment to skin or hair, allergic reaction or irritation may occur. The effects of Brow Lamination last about 6-8 weeks, at which point you can return for another treatment.
Does it hurt?
No! Brow Lamination is a painless treatment using a perming solution to shape your brow.. If you ever do feel any discomfort, which is very uncommon, please let your brow artist know right away so we can quickly remedy it. We take the utmost precaution to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for our clients at Bliss Beauty Lounge.
How long does it take?
The Brow Lamination treatment takes about 45 minutes. One hour, if tinting and/or waxing is requested. We suggest trying it with a brow tint to help enhance the look and darkening lighter brow hairs.
What should I do prior to my appointment?
Let your eyebrow hair grow! Do NOT trim the brow hair for at least 2 weeks before your appointment, the more hair the better. Avoid applying makeup on the eyebrows before the treatment, make sure they’re nice and clean. If you do however come in with makeup our brow artists are able to remove it! Upon booking your service, you will receive a form to provide us with any health and skin information to ensure we perform the service as safely as possible to each individual client.
Brow Lamination Aftercare
While brow lamination and aftercare is pretty easy, there are a few things to remember so you can have the BEST results!
- No Water or Sweating
- Do not get your brows wet for 24 hours. That means don’t shower, no washing your face, and avoid heavy sweating. This is to give the chemicals time to set on your hair for the process to work properly.
- No Rubbing
- Leave your brow area alone for 24 hours after your lamination process. Some people have slight itchyness around their brows after waxing, but do your best to not touch, itch, or rub your brows!
- No Makeup On the Brows
- You can wear makeup on your face but avoid any product on your brows. This is to prevent rubbing and needing to wash your face.
- Brush Your Brows
- After 24 hours you are good to go with your routine of showering, makeup, and working out. Remember that your brows need to be maintained, they won’t just stay up for 8 weeks. We recommend Investing in a few clean spools to brush them up in the morning and night.
Brow Tinting
We ALWAYS recommend getting your brows done a 3 to 7 days before any big event! When you get your brows tinted they are always very dark at first, this is to ensure that the tint will stay as long as possible. Some people aren’t bothered by this as they are used to darkening their brows so just keep this in mind as you are planning your next brow lamination and tint.
